Autumn's Embrace in Austria: Our Weekend Escape to Hallstatt & Obertraun
October 2022 Another year, another successful Austrian adventure! This time, our compass (and a hankering for crisp mountain air) pointed us towards the serene beauty of Obertraun and the utterly iconic village of Hallstatt. And, as always, my trusty, tail-wagging travel companion, Mia, was right there with me, ready for her next grand escapade. Our journey began with a charming detour, just over the border in the Czech Republic. We stretched our legs and imaginations amidst the ancient stones of Kašperk Castle , perched majestically in the Bohemian Forest. After a healthy dose of history and fresh air, we continued our drive to the Austrian Salzkammergut region.
